Quillback Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 It is sad indeed, I don't think I've seen this many drownings in a year on Beaver, but I've only been here 5 years.
rps Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Mike, the man who drowned, was 34, married with two young girls, and taught industrial skills at the high school in Eureka. Several of his students won stat4e competitions and qualified for nationals where they placed.
Ron Burgundy Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 He had 3 girls. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
KCRIVERRAT Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 Tragic summer down there. I'll be on Beaver with my boat in a couple of weeks. I never jump off the boat and swim without something I can float on. It's not always a PFD, which is dumb, but at least it's something to hang on to. Feathers and Fins Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 The heat has put more people on Beaver this year than I have seen before not suprised the numbers are up. If she keeps dropping there will be more accidents and boats tore up, people dod not understand how many rocks and pole timber are in the lake that will be invisable but in a possition to do damage soon. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
KCRIVERRAT Posted August 7, 2012 Posted August 7, 2012 You guys should try and traverse Smithville Lake up here. It's only 800 surface acres smaller Pomme but you wouldn't know it. HUMAN RELATIONS MANAGER @ OZARK FISHING EXPEDITIONS
