Several weather forecasts point to the strong possibility of heavy rain over the weekend. So naturally I'm expecting dry conditions.

I hope the damage and/ or loss of life isn't too bad along the gulf coast. That is the main thing, as much as I'd like to see a good shot of rain come through here.

Since it will just be rain and not necessarily storms with lots of lightning - I plan on fishing through it !!

I am washing and re-proofing my rain gear right now in fact.

Sport Wash by Penguin and Bass Pro Water ReProofer spray should do the trick :have-a-nice-day:

Just checked other paths and they pretty much line up with NOAA's track not sure where WU is getting theirs from a pipe dream maybe?

Predicting the weather is like knowing the exact time when your girlfriend will be ready to leave for the movies.

Looks like we are going to get very wet this weekend. Here is the latest rainfall prediction from NOAA. I think our low and clear streams will disappear very quickly!!!

8-9 inches of rain is very serious stuff. Great for the rivers probably, but if anyone is really planning to fish through this I'd seriously discourage that. I'm not sure that much came down when the Albert Pike disaster occurred. That's worth thinking about, even if rainfall this will occur over a much longer period of time.
