WOW!!!!!!! that sucked.....there's nothing like seeing your team just get dismantled....holy crap!!!!.

Kozma showed his youth and inexperience as did Lance Lynn,Allen Craig and the team showed their complete inconsistantcy with hitting while people in scoring posistion???? the two most important thing to hitting are on base pct. and hitting with men in scoring posistion and the Cardinals sucked at that.

The majic ran out..... Lynn,Carpenter and Loshe sucked bad and the team just crumbled around them....oh well I will still have seat 3 and 4 section 212 next year and until I can't afford them anymore as I love the Cards

Notes for next year:::: 1) Let Rosenthal start please

2)is Jon Jay the ansewer in center field your third most important posistion on the field????? I don't think so but, I don't think the front office will go get someone or is anything even available on the open market???

3)Joe Kelly should be a starter

4) Is Kozma a major league short stop????? not sure but, Frucal with a year left is a chandelier

5) Is Jaime too much of a head case????? our only lefty and with a big contract.....he would be hard to move

6) can Shelby Miller fufill his promising skill and become a stater???? doubtful

I will never question the grittyness, and determination of the Cardinals as a team but their approach some games seems to be completely flawed and I think that goes back to scouting and coaching. Lots of questions for me but, I can't wait to get it started all over again.

Yeah, the magic ran out. And I am not surprised....baseball tends to even itself after awhile. It has been an incredible and exciting run the last two years. No need to hang their heads...they got beat by great pitching the last 3 games. Poor defense was the final nail in the coffin.

However, I think the future is very bright for the Cardinals. They are deep in pitching with Shelby Miller, Rosenthal, Joe Kelly, Boggs, Carpenter, Wainwright, and Motte. They have more young power arms in the minors. Garcia is a wild card...but he seems to suffer from confidence issues. Westbrook is fine as a #5 for next year.

You have Freese, Molina, Craig, and Holliday as a decent core group. i think Matt Carpenter deserves a shot to start. Jon Jay is fine with me in center for another year. Not a great offensive player, but he is very good defensively

You have Furcal, and Beltran for one more year as well, but health issues will limit them again.

So long term they need to find another young outfielder (oscar Tavares in AA has the potential), and a shortstop.

Don't think Kozma is much more than a utility player at the MLB level.

So they need to sign Wainwright and look at a shortsop option.

Matt Adams may be a first base option if they want to move Craig to right field after Beltran leaves.

next year could be a bit of transition year with all the young talent they have in the ninors. 2014 could be a really really good team.

I think they need to re-sign Loshe unless he demands tons of money. He had an outstanding year IMO.

I agree, things tend to even out. The Cards were a flawed team all year, with very inconsistent hot and cold hitting and a ton of injuries. The objective observer would say they did not deserve to get as far as they did. And you can't expect to win it all with, at the end, no consistent starting pitchers...heck, in the seven game series they only got one quality start. But I also agree that the future looks pretty bright...

The only problem I have with Jay is that his arm is mediocre at best, and he isn't a leadoff hitter. And they really needed a better bench with better pinch hitters. But they should have good pitching next year.
