A lot of very good programs have had an outlier upset loss at the beginning of the season, but we are not a good program. It is abundantly clear to me that Bobby Petrino's teams overperformed. The day to day coaching and in-game schemes combined with a few rediculously talented athletes produced more wins than we should have had last year, and I'm okay with that. But this coaching staff is completely out to lunch. Even with our starting QB out, we spotted ourselves a 21 point lead. Knile Davis could start at running back for any team in the country. Dennis Johnson was playing lights out last night. Yet, when Tyler went down and we came out in the second half with a THREE TOUCHDOWN LEAD, Paul Petrino saw fit to place the weight of the game on the shoulders of a red shirt freshman rather than pound away with two blue chip running backs. I have no idea what possessed John L and Paul P to do that. It makes no sense whatsoever. Missouri played a hell of a game. I watched it this morning and I think they played beyond their ability like Arkansas did last year. They just got beat by a much better team. As much as it pains me to say it, Arkansas got beat by a better team last night too. ULM didn't do anything crazy. They didn't have any freak plays go their way. They beat our QB to death and our defense could not stop them. ULM is freaking better than Arkansas right now, and that's a problem. Alabama is going to absolutely destroy us.

Period Paul Petrino is a troll and I dont want to hear anything else out of his mouth. Johnelle didnt have the balls to shake hands at mid field with ULMs coach after the game. I would fire his sorry azz based on principle alone. the entire program is a trainwreck. Its too bad most of us were caught drinking the koolaid and getting your pi$$ hot all summer. Going for it in your own end on 4th and 11 and relying on your punter to convert on a 26 yard run???? wtf....the tigers were tight as hell and the mistakes showed that much. The jawja team played down to the Tigers level in the first half and then turned it on to roll. I'm sticking with my prediction of 4 and 7 this year, I hate to say this because I love Mizzou but, they are not deep enough or fast enough for the SEC. It does seem like a ton of kids around here are pumped to go to Mizzou all of the sudden so the future may get brighter.

stlfisher Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 Tough loss for Mizzou, they looked tight and nervous and a missed opportunity to score late in the first half on the dropped ball in the endzone on the hail mary pass. The effort was there for sure, but the defense simply wore down in the 4th quarter and we may see alot of that this year. The fake punt on 4th and 11 was brutal...that was a huge turning point and totally unecessary in that situation. Bama is gonna stomp us too
