Brian K. Shaffer Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 After several missed calls this weekend again and plenty of bad calls after replay.... What in the world can the NFL do to salvage this * asterisk marked season ? This game on Monday night tonight was a joke. It makes a difference in the end. What do you guys think ? Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Quillback Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 It's definitely a flawed product with the replacement refs. But as long as fans fill the stadiums and watch the games on TV, the owners have no reason to settle with the refs. But, I have to think they'll resolve this soon, imagine a Super Bowl with these replacement refs - that could be ugly.
Justin Spencer Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 Didn't really think it was a problem until this week. Not sure what the differences are between sides, but it seems to me like the officials are trying to get too much, but maybe not the way things are looking now. awhuber Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 The replacements make for some pretty entertaining games, if you're not a betting man...
Feathers and Fins Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 SUCKS PERIOD https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
stlfisher Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I agree with Justin above. Seems like the officials are trying to hard to make the right call and therefore pysching themselves them out. Regardless they are bad...no doubt about it. Anyone else see the hit the Bronco's put on Schaub? He lost part of his ear when his helmet came flying off. Should have been an ejection after that hit.
Jeff Olson Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 this was just WRONG!!!, it is a discrace to the nfl, im from WI, and a lifelong packer fan. this was the worst game of terrible calls I have ever seen. I was not aware that some of these guys are high school refs ! and the head ref for this game it was his first nfl game! I cant believe the nfl could not find a whole new set of good expieranced refs out there somewhere in this massive world. then the nfl responds by defending the terrible call and review, instead of just admitting it was a bad call and a mistake ! it is sad that the great sport of football has come to this. hope it gets worked out very soon!!! ( I just had to vent guys!) now lets go fishing or hunting!!!
Jack Jones Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 All the analysis I've read points the finger at the greedy owners. From what I've seen, the demands aren't unreasonable. It's been funny to watch all the anti-union Republicans clamor for the unionized refs to return. Isn't this just the free market at work? Greasy B Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 All this has nothing to do with the integrity of the game or the fans. It is a power play by the NFL to ensure dominance over the players union in future negotiations. The refs loose the fans loose but they really don't care, The only thing the NFL values is profits. The NFL won't cave no matter how bad it gets. Where does the NFL go from here? To the bank.
