Let me first say hello. My wife and I are from Nebraska and we LOVE your lakes down there!! There is nothing even close to them up here. We are trying to plan a trip to a different lake each year for our vacation and this year we are wanting to come to Bull Shoals. We went to Table Rock last year and had a absolute great time! I asked for help last year on this site and still can't thank the guys enough on the TR section for pointing us in the right direction.

With that all said........my wife and I are wanting to plan a trip to Bull Shoals this spring. We are thinking about going to watch the last day of the BASS tourny and then stay the rest of the week to fish for fun. Do you think this a good idea/time to be there or would some other time be better for the fishing? Do you think with the BASS guys being there right before us that it might be crowded with people having the same idea as us to stay and fish? What are good places to stay at (nice but not overly expensive would be best)? Who all would be a good guide to hire for kind of showing us the ropes at first? We would like to focus on bass fishing if it makes a difference in what guide you would recommend.

We will most definitely be wanting to spend most of our time fishing but what are some other things to do around the area? We stayed on Table Rock last year the first part of June (had a great time)! We did the Branson thing last year so we are looking for other things to do this year.

We promise that all fish will be left in the lake safe and sound for you all to catch again. Any and all help will be GREATLY appreciated!!!

I am going to post this on the other Bull Shoals part as I am not sure which part of the lake we should be staying at. If that is unacceptable please delete whichever post would be in the most wrong area.

Thanks a ton,

Dave

Bumping this back up as our trip is getting close and we are very excited for it!!

We have a place to stay but any other help would be great. We will be bass fishing so any help in that regard would be great as well.

Thanks,

Dave

Bull Shoals is a HUGE lake. You'll have plenty of room to fish. You'll be hitting it at a GREAT time ( I hope). We've had a protracted winter so the water has stayed cooler longer than usual, but the warming water should have everything biting. You posted on Upper Bull Shoals, but I fish the lower section a lot more NOT because it's better, but because it's so much closer for me.

You should be able to use what you learned from TR on Bull. There should be plenty of fish in < less than 20 foot of water and you should catch a bunch of fish.

Have fun, be safe, and spend a bunch of money down here.

I agree with Ham. The biggest difference between TR and BS is the number of people, with BS having less. The fish should be on the banks so do what you do best.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Thanks guys. I actually posted this on both Bull Shoals sections as I was not sure which one was the most appropriate one.
