abkeenan Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 What are your guys thoughts on this new deep diver? Applicable to Table Rock or sticking with the good ole' DT20's and DD22's? http://www.wired2fish.com/strike-king-introduces-the-10xd-officially-p17401
Champ188 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Fortunately I don't think I did so on here, but I said this time last year that I didn't think the A-rig would ever be a factor on clear-water lakes like TR or Beaver. Too darn big and intrusive. I think we all know how THAT turned out. A 6-inch crank bait sounds awfully big to me and I can't imagine how much work that thing must be to crank, but given the way TR bass like to munch on those big hickory (gizzard) shad, dang right I think it's worth a try. Personally, I'd head for Baxter or the Kings with it. Wasn't many years ago that the boy from Texas rang up a heckuva three-day sack to win that Stren Series championship throwing deep crank baits way up the White.
Guest Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Good looking bait.. I used to throw the Mann's 20+ and 30+ crankbaits in the 90's. With lots of success at lakes like Dardanelle. Its funny how strike king thinks this is the next big deal. They needed a new toy for the long lining crowd, which by the way, is an old school method.
Bill Babler Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 That thing might just tear up Lake of the Ozarks and Grand Lake of the Cherokee. Those "Big O'l Biggin's like Giz Shad imitations. "Brack your feet and hang on." http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Quillback Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I can't catch them on DD22's so I can't see where the 10XD will help me, but I'll probably buy a couple and try them out.
