Daryk Campbell Sr Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Gramps, your right, they would last a little longer than o'rings, but that kit seems a bit expensive. There are videos on youtube that show how to use an empty marker or highlighter tube to apply the o'rings just the same as the applicator in this kit. You can get an o'ring kit for little or nothing at any local hardware store in the plumbing aisle. After a few releases your bait is going to be used up anyhow.... sure the saddle will still be usable but is it worth the price? Your call. Good thread by the way. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. moguy1973 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Yeah, you don't fish senko's real fast, just kind of cast let it sink then give a couple twitches, let it sink, pause, twitch, sink pause... I never liked slow presentation fishing before as I liked topwater and cranking better since you were actually doing something and wasn't so boring...but the slow stuff really works, especially when the fish aren't active and the water starts getting a little cooler... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Members T Hood Posted November 4, 2012 Members Posted November 4, 2012 There are bass in there, I've caught a few. A couple of them were decent sized. I believe the whole summer weather pattern affected the fishing everywhere. Last summer, it was a good little pond to work the ultralight and fly rod. It was practice. I'll be looking forward to a better year next year if the weather pattern normalizes and we actually have some snow this winter.
