Blue Springs Lake - Near Record Hybird Striped Bass

The size of the head and mouth is what's throwing me off. I still say Striper.

A friend of mine caught a 19 lb on 6 lb test while crappie fishing and has a world line record. He said his was a hybrid that looked like a striper too. The conservation dept told him it was a hybrid from a striper egg?

All of the hybrids in Mo. have striper mommas and White daddys I think.

You wife's pole = your wife's fish I do believe. Either way great fish.

Duck - I keep telling her it is her fish. She says she couldn't have done it without me. But I consider it her catch.

Mitch - conservation agent told me that Blue Springs Lake does not have stripers in it, only has hybrid striped. The Missouri State Record is 20.5 and the world record is 27.5 - at least from what I found from looking on the net.

I am fairly new to the area and like to fish Blue Springs and would love to catch some hybrids or whites. Do you have any info that would help. And thats a reallly nice fish.
