I am going to have to agree with Mark here. I really don't understand the BPS bashing. I have NEVER had one bad thing to say about any of their employees or customer service. You can argue that their prices are higher on products than other places/retailers but that would be my only gripe and it is a small one IMO. Some of their products lack quality while others are very fine...which can be said about A LOT of companies/brands. I do not like Cabela's myself, their prices are just as high as BPS and stores seem sloppily ran. I've been in them a few times and stuff if just scattered around with poor organization if you ask me. Some of their isles look like a bargain bin or clearance section. Complaining that the weigh in is at a BPS location is silly. THEY ARE SPONSORS OF THE EVENT. THEY ARE PROVIDING THE MAIN ATTRACTION OF THE TOURNAMENT.......A NEW Z8 BOAT! Why on Earth would they want the Kimberling City Inn or Ahoy's to host it??? Makes no sense at all. While I do understand that someone fishing way up the James or White has a gripe that it is a long haul to weigh in, you have to understand......no BPS sponsorship.....no tournament period. That is really the bottom line. For $150 buy in at a shot at a new 20' foot boat, nice hourly payouts, good people, good BBQ after fishing for the day and a chance to enjoy Table Rock even more than I already do when "fun fishing". Oh yeah and they give you a free rod? I love this event and will fish it as long as they come to TR.

My mistake on the Z8 last year. First prize was a Z9 the first year the tournament was held. I know that because it was won by a friend of mine, Brady Meredith.

Yes sir, Brady took it home year one. He does well in the event every year and he's a perfect example of someone fishing the other end of the lake and being very successful doing it. He's cashed a number of checks and won a boat.

Nothing to it. :have-a-nice-day:

Speaking for myself, I like Tackle Warehouse...

I also use Tackle Warehouse for about 80% of my tackle. But sometimes I need to have a "hands on" purchase and need to physically inspect a product to see what its all about (Rods, size of bait, etc). In that case I go to BPS and buy from them. I also go during their Spring Fishing Classic and pick up some of the stuff they have pretty good deals on and usually get in on the rod/reel trade in.

Yep I agree, I like to visit BPS a few times a year myself. Love that Spring Fishing Classic, you're likely to see my digging through the Wiggle Wart sales bins looking for Phantom Green.

I saw on your registration form that a shallow water anchor is required. My Ranger does not have a powerpole or similar. Is this a deal killer or???? Please advise. THANKS

No, we are asking if you have one and if so what brand. Same questions as boat, motor, etc. It means your answer is required not that you're required to have one.

Thanks
