GNSfishing Posted December 15, 2012 Posted December 15, 2012 Was out yesterday doing some fishing and graphing and came across these fish suspended in the trees. What is your best guess of what these were??
J-Doc Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 School of whites I think. Too large for crappie. SOOOOOOO JEALOUS of your graph. Freakin' sweet! One day, I'll get structure scan technology. Feathers and Fins Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Threadfin ball, with crappie in the tops https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
J-Doc Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 I agree with F&F. I still think it may be whites but crappie is a more probable scenario and if F&F says something. .....I listen. :-) Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2 Need marine repair? GNSfishing Posted December 16, 2012 Author Posted December 16, 2012 Threadfin ball, with crappie in the tops What ever they were there were a lot of them along the point in the trees heading towards the river channel. Tried a spoon, jigs, wiggle wart, topwater and a shaky head with small worm and could not get a hit. There were singles coming to the surface once in awhile but never got a good look at them to be able to ID them.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Singles were probably shad flipping, you will see it alot this time of year. Most of them are running 4 to 6 inches long could have been a mixed ball of Gizzard and Threadfin. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Dutch Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 Normally, when I get stuff to show up that large it is likely a school of spots or whites. Mature gizzards might show up that large but these fish were quite a ways down and I think crappie would show up much smaller. At least the ones I have been seeing on Stockton show up smaller that those fish do. This is a shot of some white bass that weighed 2-3#. They are 15' shallower than the other pic.
Sore Thumbs Posted December 16, 2012 Posted December 16, 2012 How do you get images from your hds to your computer? I have been wanting to do that. Is there a place to go to show you that?
