gotmuddy Posted January 1, 2013 Author Posted January 1, 2013 well we ended up with 25lb of redfish, so plenty of fish grills in my future. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Quillback Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Gotmuddy, were you wade fishing or from a boat? Always wanted to go down there and try it, but don't want to haul my boat down or rent one for that matter.
LittleRedFisherman Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Sounds like a lot of fun, and some good eating. I had a buddy one time bring me some Red Snapper he caught down around Grand Isle, let me tell ya, that stuff was good. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Sounds like a lot of fun, and some good eating. Ham Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Hey Got Muddy, grill a 17 inch Largemouth Bass or a 21 inch Walleye along with that Redfish and get back with me on which you liked better. I'm jealous of your trip and proud you did so well. Enjoy the fruits of your labors. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Justin Spencer Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Redfish is so good on the grill because it is firm and thick enough that you can grill it without over cooking. Most mild fish taste like your seasoning, it's the consistency of the fish that makes some kinds better than others for different kinds of cooking.
