J-Doc Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 Yeah, I kinda figured that out. I was mainly worried about getting the right parts. Now that I know there are part numbers on just about everything, that helps. The removal and repacking sounds like a cake-walk. I have a 4hr drive back from fishinwrench's place when I go pick up my boat so I'm definately going to get the bearings replaced before heading back. I think it's been needed to be replaced since 2009 sadly. The boat has sat up for about 2ys though so it got heavy use during 2009-2010. I know what to look for now so it will be watched closely. fishinwrench Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 If there's no pitting, rust, or cage wear there is really no need to replace them....just clean and repack the bearings and hubs and swap seals. Most trailers have way less miles on them than you think so the actual wearing out of the bearings is seldom an issue.

I noticed this when I replaced the tires before bringing it to you. I read online that's a sign the bearing has rust or some damage.
