No Chief, it is you that fails to offer a solution.

You make every attempt to confuse the offer of concession on some matters. But you have not offered anything to solve the problem.

What is your perfect solution. How would you stop it? What do you want to do? Enlighten us with your all knowing troll wisdom.

I think I posted earlier, that I don't know that anything can be done. I am not so sure that we are not stuck with what we have. But then again, like the DWI thing, there is a starting point somewhere.

One other question....how do republican congressmen get lifetime "A" ratings from the NRA??? How much do they cost??

Yup and many birds died horrible deaths from crippling in those early years as the Gubberment acted before there was a alternitive that produced the cleaner kill. A perfect lesson to be learned.

I hunted with lead shot and steel and there is a reason the only shell I use now and have since it came out is Hevishot! It works as good if not better than lead. I wasnt going to give up my hunting because of steel shot being mandatory but it sure crippled alot of birds.

BUT the goverment did not ban hunting they phased out lead and still are to this day and allowed for alternitives to come out. There is no alternitives in a BAN or putting a ( anti-gun or hunting shrink) in charge of who may or may not have a gun or what magz size might be or shell capability.

Why should law abiding people be made to suffer for the criminals or mentally instable? Do all cars have a breath test before you can start them? NO THEY DONT... So if a car which kills far more than guns doesnt have a breathalizer in them why are you going after guns? answer that one.

Let me put this thought out there. How many lives are lost to gun deaths by criminals each year?

Now how many people are killed or injured by a drunk driver each year?

We have technology to but a breath tester in every car made, you think the gun lobby is powerful what do you think whould happen if the goverment came in and tried to make that mandatory. It would save far more lives and injuries every day than any ban or restrictions on weapons ever will yet we dont have it.

One notable difference though is that driving is a privilege and not a right. The only way to loose your right to your guns is to become a felon. You can loose your privilege to drive for many reasons, temporarily or forever.

Eureka! I know how to slove this! Build our schools like prisons! All public building like prisons! Any place that has a high concentration of people. 20ft tall fences topped with concertina wire. One way in, one way out. Bars on the narrow windows.

Do I think citizens of this country need military grade weapons? Well, not really. But that is just me. I personall don't see the need for them. I hear the argument that they must have them for personal protection. Well, if you are protecting yourself, or family, wouldn't a shotgun work better? I mean, if you are threatened, then the person, or persons, must be in super close range. Like with in a few feet.

I like guns. I have several of them. None of them are military grade. I use them strictly for hunting. But if someone tries to cause me or my family, or even friends, harm, they will double as an assult weapon because I will be assuting your azz.

I hope to never live in a place where I feel I need a assault weapon to defend my property, and I am sure most other people are the same way. I believe most people want a AR15 because they just want one.

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

Honestly I have no clue how your name got in there i didnt even notice it I just hit QUOTE from Justins post. more website issues maybe?

Chief a Military grade weapon at the time of our constitution was whatever was in the hands of the people at the time, Same for the Civil war even and in the Indian Wars our goverments weapons were outmatched by repeaters for a time. Our Military does not manufacture weapons Civillian companies do. You know the differance between a civilian AR and a Military one?

Full or burst for the military aka select fire... Civilan single shot, but many the guys I know with the civilian version have upgraded barrels and most other parts of the gun they are of larger cals and much more accurate and reliable. The Military version is 5.56 Nato where many of the civilian weapons have been upgraded, I personaly like 308cal with a Krieger custom 28'' barrel 1.7.7 twist matched with a swarovski bullestic turret scope and will reach out and touch something, Ive put brown down at a long way off. I wouldnt ever try the shots with a Military AR I would with that gun.

The reason I posted the above paragraph is to show these guns have gone way past military application. But where i keep shaking my head is people calling them Military weapons they are NOT. Unless someone has the licensing they cannot own a SELECT FIRE WEAPON. they cannot own a grenade launcher or anything else the Military or Police have. The big cry is the Magazine Size or the Looks of the gun and thats stupid I can take a old 870 Shotgun and in an hour have it looking as Black as the Ace of spades is that then an " Assault Weapon"

I want one person to tell me what an assault weapon is?
