So, as I have posted previously, there seems to be a dearth of good fishing trips, no, scratch that that, good fish catching trips (good action, a healthy number of lunkers caught) on the Current. Constant low water? Constant pressure? Mixture of both (obviously)? Or, maybe, we're not as good as we think we are?

put and take fishery + poachers paradise + the upper section isn't big water and is closer to being a creek than a river + low-low water for almost a year + the places that big fish can hide aren't that many and well-accomodating during even normal flows + record heat this past summer + increased fishing pressure over several recent years and . . . what was the original question and why is anyone surprised?

Plus you guys are fishing where every yahoo and his brother do too. Between the park and Baptist Camp is a lot of water with a lot of fish in it but it takes a little bit to get there.

Hopefully this Spring will bring up levels and keep them sustained. Lots of pressure, poaching, drought...all those things. Plus, the browns get very wily...last time I was downstream from Baptist, caught just a glimpse of a big boys edging away to hide...gotta do the Crane Creek crawl I guess, which hurts... ;)
