I am not 100% sure what ' superonmiphobic ' means, but it is sure is cool to watch !

I think from what I read on the NBC link - this stuff isn't supposed to be totally submersible.

" Yet it can't be totally impermeable. "It's a very, very porous coating — porous to anything that's gas-based, but not to anything liquid." That means ordinary air and water vapor can pass through — helpful when you don't want your clothing to stifle you. "

I read about it over on life science website this week. Military is looking at it as a coating on new clothing to make it waterproof, breathable, and reduce laundry by deflecting dirt and blood. I does have possibilities in our applications.

Seriously gents, that the best you can do. Biggest benifit to us... No staining when our drunk buddies spill thier beer on us. Duh.
