Jerry Rapp Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I expect to hear some peeper frogs by the end of the week with the warm temps forecast. That is my sign for spring. And it was cloudy this morning, and the resident groundhog didn't see its shadow. I am like you SIU, while the winter hasn't been brutal, ice has kept me from my favorite little lake, and Clearwater and Wappapello keep going up and down and the fish aren't cooperating yet.
Chief Grey Bear Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I think I have organized my tackle boxes 10 times this winter, Now how many times when doing that, did you see a plug that you meant to use alot in the previous year, or one you kinda forgot about and are now dreaming of using it quite a lot this coming year?? I do that a lot but once the season gets here, I forget them again and continue on with my tried and true. Guest Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Mid 50's to lower 60's for the next 10 days in the area. Ice has been a non factor, although I dumped 5" of water & ice out of the trashcan today. That big rain has the creeks flowing good, I might even have to mow by next weekend.
Gavin Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Crocus and dafodills starting to come up.....hardly any ice on the local trout pond.
