I don't think they should be banned as long as it is within legal laws of the state it is being used in. I also wonder why no one has really challenged the "no live bait" rule in bass tournaments. If live bite is that good, why not allow it? It is not illegal in state regs. Walleye tourneys allow live bait.

I think that might go back to the introduction of C&R. There is a tendency for fish to swallow bait and live bait dealers don't advertise. :rolleyes:

yea, I forgot. Walleye don't swallow live bait. Nor do crappie in crappie tournaments. But I thought circle hooks prevented that anyway. There is your first advertiser.
