moguy1973 Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Big M marina. It's on the White arm -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
dtrs5kprs Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Way up the white, west of Shell Knob a few miles. There are no fish that far up .
Quillback Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 There's a COE park there with a launch and dock. Sits on a small cove sheltered from the wind, which makes loading a lot easier on those windy days.
Champ188 Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 Like dtrs5kprs said, no fish up there. No oxygen in the water. They swim up about a mile north of SK bridge and either stop or peel off up the Kings.

Don't forget up there is where you find all the rabid squirrels, 10' cottonmouths, wild dogs, wild dogs with bees in their mouths, and rodents of unusual size. I highly recommend Aunts Creek as an alternative.
Quillback Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 You do have to watch out for the deadly "White river fog", that oxygen less water can create an oxygen less fog on those calm summer mornings. It claims the lives of several boaters a year. There used to be a warning sign about this on the Eagle Rock bridge but the local hillbillies tore it down.
Members trytofish Posted March 16, 2013 Author Members Posted March 16, 2013 OK! You all got me afeared! I will just stay in myneck of the woods in 2 weeks. Theres only 8' cotton mouths rabid otters up there!
