Today is my first day of Spring Break. Went to the marina to charge the batteries, take the rods and tackle back to the boat, etc. The ramp at Holiday Island looked like "let's take the old rig to the lake and see if it starts." Ran into my first ever AGFC officers. After the crowd goes home I'll slip out tomorrow to start my week of fishing.

Usually that way at all the river ramps through March and April. Usually with some Honey Boo Boo looking girl in the boat with a dog, mom backing the trailer, dad yelling at both of them while standing by the trailer.

Good luck. Thin those toothy fish out for us.

Snagging season is the Lake/River equivalent of first day of deer season in the woods.

It appears tomorrow - Sunday - will be iffy. But after that I will have 3 or 4 days of good fishing weather.

Good luck! I did see some surface activity this morning, I didn't throw a topwater, but I think I'm going to start keeping one on the deck. I also caught a 17" eye on a tube, he's lucky he wasn't an inch longer.

That will let those who want to fish get after it

HELP what to do have.......... two spring breakers coming in to fish for three days later this morning was planning on the big m area for whites or go over to beaver creek area .......any suggestion with this rain last night

I fished around Big M a couple of days last week and did not see any whites, if you're after whites I'd go somewhere else, where exactly I could not tell you, might be some up around Holiday Island.
