Has anyone had any luck at busch in the spring? I have been thinking about trying to do some crappie and bass fishing there this year. Might even try to catch a musky at lake 35.

One of the largest bass I have ever caught was in the Spring at Busch Wildlife Conservation Area. 8 pounds 4 ounces, caught in early April on Lake 27, I think. That was back in 1988.

I wonder when 33 is going to be back open for boat rental...

There's no fish at Busch...especially in the spring...........

i'll be out throwing for muskies as soon as the boats are in. The cold weather should push the spawn back and make for some decent fishing

I've had several of the muskies take swipes and follows just walking and casting from the dam.

Thats a good thing to hear.

I have always heard you go bass fishing in the lake....with steel leader....just in case. I need to retie some of my big musky flies, I dont like how they look.

Ok I will try near the dam first. And yea I have also heard rumors like that. I might try minnows from the bait shop to see if they want live bait
