Congrats on your new boat, I just bought a Coosa a month ago, and have loved it so far, mostly fishing ponds and ditches here In the delta so far. I mainly wanted a boat to fish the eleven point as you do, plus the Southfork near our place at Hardy, I think this boat will be awesome for downstream floats. My buddy is fixing to seal the deal on a Cuda as well, he thought that would fit his needs better as well. Can't wait to see the differences. As soon as he gets his, and we get some time, gonna holler a Brian and float Thomasville to Greer, can't wait!! They all say the Cuda is affected less by wind, I was In the Coosa yesterday and had to fight the breeze a little, but not bad, love the boat, Congrats on yours, same color as mine!!

Oh yeah, what a pig that fish is, awesome was to break in a new boat!!

Have you stood much in yours yet?

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

Max, that Cuda is one sweet looking ride....the color scheme is really cool.....How do you like the rod holders behind the seat???? I was wanting one and almost pulled the trigger @ the Alpine shop the other day until the wife dashed my dreams for that day.....still on the horizon though....very nice!!!

I bought mine from The Alpine Shop in Columbia, MO. I had to wait a few unbearable weeks to get the black widow color scheme I wanted. :)

The boat comes with two regular rod holders and one that can hold a fly rod. I'm hoping that the Alpine Shop will replace the two regular rod holders with two that will hold fly rods. In truth tho, I don't use the rod holders that much. I just place the rod down in front of me or to the side. I very rarely fish with more than one rod. When I want to have a rod strung with sinking tip or sinking line, I'll probably use the rod holder to switch back and forth, but that will be rare. On the eleven point I will definitely not be using the rod hodlers, too much for the shore line to catch ahold of. That's there the rod tip cover on this boat will really shine.

Oh, about the stability. I have tried standing and fishing a couple of times. I guess you need to develop "sea legs" because I feel like I'm always on the verge of falling overboard. It does not feel any different to me than standing up in a canoe. I suspect the Cuda 14 is the same way.

I have a coosa and the standing is shakey at first but the more you do it the easier it gets. When I first bought it I thought no way I could stand and fish but I'm starting to find myself standing more & more often. It's work at first to balance but as you learn you get comfortable
