What's The Best Style Of Grubs To Use

I generally fish 5 inch Kalins grubs on 1/4 ounce ball heads with a 3/0 hook, nothing fancy about grub fishing. Colors are I use are bluegill, blue pearl, smoke purple and plain smoke.

Can't argue with any advicethat has been given here but, I will add & suggest ( WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING WITH A LITTLE DIFFERENT LOOK ) either a GOPHER & /or LUCK " E " STRIKE MUSHROOM JIG HEAD or, a FOOTBALL JIG HEAD.

In my world & in my opinion " DOWN " !!!!!!!

Doesn't really matter but I rig them to where the C-Tail is on the opposite side of the hook because from time to time the tail will foul in the hookpoint if they are on the same side.

S0metimes, not often, when grubs are not doing the job turning the grubs sideways has produced fish. I have know idea why and I have caught very few fish starting with a grub fished sideways.
