Keeping Deer Out

We tore down Gitmo this weekend because the posts were rotting and before I replace the barbwire monstrosity (8 ft tall with three rows of barb wire), what are you using to keep deer out (shooting and concertina wire are not an option). If possible I'd like to make something that does not look like a prison but is affordable. Any suggestions?

That may not be an option most care to take but having a dog around does keep those four legged vegetarians in check!

Dog is Number 1 thought.

If Dog is not an option and your tired of the looks of a fence you could try planting Pyracantha bushes around the Garden, the thorns will keep anything out. You will need to still have access and possibly a nice fenced arch to make it look nice.
