roy_eros Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 Took 16 and change to win today, weights fell off pretty quick to about 10.5 for the last in the money spot. We finished less than a tenth of a pound out of the money with a 10.49 limit. Covered a lot of water today and caught plenty of fish just no size. Water temps we saw ranged from 54-62. Water clarity also varied from 20 ft + clarity to less than 2 foot clarity. As you can tell we fished the lake from one end to the other. Saw several males on beds and a few were pretty locked on. Most were pretty skittish though. The tournament had close to 300 boats and it speared that less than 40 teams probably brought a limit to the scales.
Ham Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 We had found some fish last Monday, but cooler temps shut them down. We only had a couple that would measure. I was pretty disappointed, but that's fishing. I did want to mention how well run this tournament is. AGFC had a big truck there and the fish were quickly weighed and transferred to the truck. The truck took the fish and released them back into the lake at an undisclosed location. Lots of money raised for a good cause. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Members brian c Posted April 16, 2013 Members Posted April 16, 2013 I was on a pretty good bite thursday but the wind change and lack of wind hurt me. Had three keepers, one was over 4 and caught it flipping a dock. Seems that the fish are really spread out right now and with the water being so clear on most of the lake you really need a little wind or be in a area with some color in the water. Should be a bunch moving up real soon although looks like another cold front moving in wed/thursday sometime,
