aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I hear ya. I have seen the whitewater rescue team down there with 40 horse jets and bass pro puts pontoons with 60's in during there spring classic. I feel like I know the shallow spots better than those guys
jbtiwns30 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Does anybody know what the fine is if your caught with a bigger motor on that lake...even if u use it or not....250 bucks. Should of been out fishing during that snow...fishing was great. I catch the most fish and bigger fish when the snow comes down....for some reason the bass and crappies turn on.
jbtiwns30 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I also believe its a 4 horse not 6 on that lake then no jug lines. Dnr told me if you see some with no name tags on it destroy and bring them in and put them in the trash.
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 6 is the limit says the sign at the ramp
Members Prestone Posted May 5, 2013 Members Posted May 5, 2013 Where are the best places to catch crawdads in a trap around Lake Springfield?
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I've trapped a lot on the Finley by linden.
TroutRinger Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Are there any hour limitations for being on the lake or can you be out 24/7? "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." "There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot."
MSUFisherBear Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I don't have any problems either with bigger boats running their motors, as long as they aren't throwing wakes that would like to capsize someone. I have taken on decent wakes, but the one the guy ran by me the other day with was way too large. Suffice it to say that the breakback wakes from the shore after the guy passed were still enough to give me a fun ride. There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind. ~Washington Irving
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Do they have any law enforcement on the lake, or is it just security? It's too bad they don't allow inflatables with waders at least. The concept that humans would taint the water somehow probably doesn't have any scientific basis, especially with all the critters around, especially birds. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I was there today and a guy was on pontoon with waders...not saying it was correct (don't know the rules) but it happens "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy."
