Hopefully you have better luck with this one WakenLake. Sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have 2 casting and 1 spinning Vendetta rod, 1 spinning veritas rod, 4 Abu Garcia baitcaster and 2 spinning reels. I haven't had a single problem with any of their products so I'm glad to see you give them another chance.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Guess I should have mentioned I wanted it for fishing lighter stuff for bass. I ended up getting an All Star Micro Guide Series. I owned an All Star probably 6 or 7 years ago and remember liking it. Put my Lew's on it and spooled it with 8lb line. Caught a few small ones with it Thursday. Feels really good so far. Heading to Table Rock toomorrow hoping to really test it out.

For the money, I just don't see how you ever beat the Berkeley Lightnin' Rods. Not sure you can still get them with foam grips though.

Any rod you buy "off the floor" at Wally World or BPS is likely to have been used as a sword or baseball bat by some kid

It's called a light saber Randy and I'm not a kid.
