Please stay on the forum amboyduke. Some regular contributors are very opinionated and openly critical of equipment, clients, and just about everything else. I don't think they even know they come across that way most of the time. Just the way they are. I considered your original post sincere and refreshing. I don't care about your real identity as long as your words are sincere.

With that said any body know of any good fishing opps around St. Joe besides Smithville lake? Going to be up there for 6 weeks:)

Pony Express used to be decent all species. If you like flatheads, the Platte River should be getting good.

Thanks for the info I will have to take a look at them.

MOZINGO. You won't need to go to Pony or the other Cameron lakes ever again.

I live in the massive Leavenworth/Ft Leavenworth/Lansing metroplex, and used to work in St Joe. Thought it was cool to be 45 minutes from Smithville when I moved here, then fell in love with Table Rock.

I had a long post written this morning before I had to run off to church. I was going to exert my "admin authority" and rebuke, delete and ban. Now that was funny!

I've been thinking about requiring all members, now and in the future, to use only their real name as screen names. I think it would have helped in this topic. It's easy to talk smack when you're not invested personally. And it's an unfair advantage when you battle a person who's name is known and yours in not.

But don't worry- that won't happen... any time soon.

Lighten up, everybody. Go fishing, then write us a fishing report with pictures!

You can always tell when cold fronts are in place. Seems to be good post growing weather...

Cool! 20 years old, but new to me. Something new to try when I visit some old freinds up there. Thank you!

Yeah truth hurts. But misinformation projected as truth can hurt even worse. I wonder how they would like it if the shoe was on the other foot?

I have seen a guide on this forum post about his clients in a most unprofessional manner. Sure we all get a laugh out of it. But is that proper business ethics?

Can you imagin if that client saw that? What about other potential clients? What if a client had a bad experience and held a grudge and every so often posted about it? He would probably be banned from here.

Intent plays a big part in misinformation. Anyone this day in age who is on a computer that will not take the time to verify or attempt to verify what someone says regarding a business or product is either a fool or lazy or both and you know what they say about a fool and his money.

If a guide or for that matter ANY business post information negatively about a client then they are truly the fool as others can see that and most would make the judgment call not to use his/her business or service. It is business suicide in all honesty. Most business's actually want testimonials to their service to reflect positively.

I think it would be a good thing if people posted negatively and positively about service from not just guides but outdoor related services/products. There use to be a site that did that had a Board of Inquiry it was very helpful and yes on occasion there was the badmouthing but in many years being on that site I saw that very quickly the false claims were weeded out and most the time it was a misunderstanding that actually aided both parties involved. I know Phil Personally and have a lot of respect for him and believe he would be extremely fair in his judgment and doubt he would ban people for being honest so im not worried about that ever happening.

Mozingo is up north of St Joe. About as opposite of TR as you will get. Flipping, punching, 7" senkos, frogs, swimbaits. Big line, big rods, grass and wood.
