Members cmcclu Posted May 22, 2013 Members Posted May 22, 2013 I am looking at repalcing fishing lights and have always used the old style floating light. Seems to be a lot of submersible LED lights available and was wondering if anyone would mind sharing an experience inorder todetermine which style to go with. I have young kids who love to go out at night and it is about that time (if not already) to give it a try. Thanks!
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 If I was fishing with kids the floater would get my vote. It's a lot easier for a kid to fish at the edge of an obvious light than trying to make the adjustment deeper down, at least I would think it would. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
exiledguide Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I agree with Wayne.......its a lot easier for me also
bfishn Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 I use the green sinking flourescant for the big decrease in battery drain, and more compact storage. You can tie it at any depth so it can serve as a "floater" too. When the ones I have die, I'll probably go LED for even more efficiency and longevity. I can't dance like I used to.
stone9-7=2 Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Firmly believe in Starfire 2 submersible lights. Bass pro or Cabelas has them. Tried them all, these are by far the best imo. Best of luck & have fun...
