Champ188 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Sorry about your stuff. Hope it shows up and they catch the ^&(%(&( who took it.
Hunter91 Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Had an outboard stolen out of my driveway a few years ago. I feel your pain and anger! Hope you find whoever did it. For me after a while it wasnt about the stuff it was about being stolen from.
Members rs00765605 Posted May 30, 2013 Author Members Posted May 30, 2013 I've been watching closely. According to the Sheriff's Dept, a lot of stolen fishing equipment has been showing up at flea markets and swap meets. They found a bunch stolen from Springfield down in Nixa a while back, so I am getting my time in at the flea markets too. I think at this point, given the choice between getting my stuff back and having 5 minutes in a dark alley with the theif.......I would have to seriously think about it.
Old plug Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Thieves are low life. But they are good at what they do. I remember onetime down on wappapello at holiday landing they stole 3 or 4 heavy 150hp outboards right off the back of bass sitting in the docks. Can you imagine how they must have done that. They had to have a boat with a winch among other things.
Bill Babler Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 If you don't find it, here is a pretty good tip. Either call or email Shimano and explain what happened. Tell them of your buying history and the reels you need replaced. I will bet you a quarter they will send you a VIP CARD for the purchase of some new equipment. It is a 50% off card and can be used thru Shimano direct. I know of no other company that does this. Shimano does and has many times in the past. Truly a reason to purchase their fine equipment. It is worth a try. They have done it for me and several other area fisherman. They completely replaced a set of fire damaged equipment for a friend. Good LUck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

I'll start buying Shimano. I'll support a good company anyday.
