Had a very nice trip to Diamond City. Caught some nice walleye between 4 of us the largest was 26" had 14 keepers for 2 1/2 Days of fishing. Jig and crawler and bottom bouncing I thought we did alright for our first trip down there. Beautiful lake, will definately go back. Thank you to everyone for there insight and suggestions.

Don't tell Powerdive where you got 'em. The guy is like a walleye vacuum cleaner. Nothing left but spotted bass and carp by the time he's done. :D

Hoping to go to DC Monday with my daughters. Haven't had 'em both in a boat at the same time in years. You oglers stay away. Hey look! Over there! Some frisky 12-inch bass! Go git 'em!

hey Powerdive, how you doing! I was out for the first time on Monday. went to dc, had a good day. started out trolling cranks but those pesty bass kept bothering me, switched to crawlers and did good on the walleye, fish are scattered, but points were best. 20 ft was my best depth. I would think 2 to 3 ft deeper by next week. good luck if you get down there!

Seemed like the longer sloping points were the best a flat out by an island north east of the ramp was being fished but looked like it was not producing alot.

... a flat out by an island north east of the ramp...

That' a fine spot and gets beat accordingly, but always seems to get refreshed with new fish regularly. While it covers several acres, you can lessen waste time by concentrating on the small (2-3') ditches running off the south & east slopes.

Persimmon Flats (across the channel west of the island) is good too, and somedtimes yeilds a bonus flathead to boot.

I can't dance like I used to.
