The spying was something I always knew was going on and figured the people who didnt know this were just a little naive... Agree 100%. There are at least two books on the NSA and they outline how they did things then and now.

But the IRS scandal really really pisses me off! Does me also... but here is what I was never able to figure out...probably ignorance on my part. What exactly do these hard right groups do that less political and more community support. I don't ever remember any Tea Party food drives or houses for humanity type projects. Seems to me they were trying to keep their donors private by calling themselves community organizations that deserved to be tax exempt. "Can" someone explain that to me, because I would like to know?

Mic if no one else does Ill try later,, but short version is by keeping the 3c from them it stopped donation and furthering their causes which were political to a degree but also educational as politics are only allowed to be a certain amount of the orgs business.

Mic We do not need 3 countries we need one based on the Constitution with strong remembrances to the reasons we dissolved ties with Great Britain. When listing DOI PARA 3 4 AND 5 you left out a bunch. Let me show you them and where they fall in todays USA.

This can easily be seen in the IRS scandal, im not saying it goes all the way to the POTUS as they are still investigating it. However it is shown to go to Washington DC With the Tea Party being seriously scrutinized and holding them from obtain 3C this very possibly cost votes in the last election. Its speculation at this point how high it went but the IRS has acknowledged it happened. Yes I understand what the above quotes were talking about but when any person or group in politics use powers they have to stop free elections it can be applied as the "cause others to be elected"

All give you this... a little. This clearly was the IRS doing wrong, and it pisses me off. However, there was over 2.25 billion spent in 2012 and hundred of thousands of hours of radio, television, and phone communication (if not millions).

Would you agree, the IRS issue, however bad, did not have a significant affect on restricting speech?

Immigration is a mess from all political parties. What part of Illegal do they not get! I can go on forever about this one. And both parties wanting to do so many things and talk about this and that. We have immigration laws enforce them and stop playing politics. If people want to come here im all for it but follow the law.

Secret court and it is just that plain and simple.

Here we go again. The FISA court is documented in the law of the land. Is not a secret court, it's procedings are classified.

Czars and IRS scandal... Let me be extremely clear on Czars, that is a title of nobility specifically forbidden in our constitution. How many officers does the IRS have any clue and they sure are harassing the people and arguably with their 50 million dollars in parties eating from our substance. Of all the issues I have with the government this one screams loudest both DOI and Constitutionally.

Military strike on a US citizen without due process. sorry this is clear as well. I don't care who it was the law applies to all. Also the Gitmo detainees. Yes I know what they are accused of but lets have the trials and justice enough is enough our laws must apply to all we detain even. I may not like who they are and would even volunteer to put the bullet in their heads but let Justice decide their fait.

Obamacare all and that is ALL polls showed between 73 and 87% of the people were against this yet it was shoved down our throats without consent and in fact with numerous descents from the states. There are more but that's the glaring example.

It was passed by an elected congress and signed by an elected President. I don't hear the NRA complaining that the backgrounds checks didn't pass eventhough a strong majority prefer it.

I'm not getting at the Current President or Congress or any one Party. I'm upset with our government that has become to large to powerful and doing to many things comparisons to our nations founding can be compared to. In fact one that is clearly against the constitution in a title of nobility! And who are those Czars answerable to?

I can see your point, but in the end it is just a name. If they didn't call it a CZAR, it would still exist. All folks in the federal branch government report to the President. The forefathers attached checks and balances for key personnel. Which by the way are stricter now, then they were in the past.

The President! I see our nation in debt to a unfathomable amount and yet they keep hiring more and more people on and instituting more taxes and burdens on the people. Many comparisons can easily be drawn to Today and our Founders time. Government is no longer Of the people by the people its of the Government for the Government. Government needs to be cleaned out all parties are to blame not just one.

Yes, but our country's budget has always gone up and down. If the economy takes off unexpectly, we will be talking about the "SS box" again. The problem is the Presidant (current or past), the problem is us Americans. We want it all, but in the end don't want to pay for it. Bush passed prescription drug care (expanding the government), but lowered the taxes. Obama, health care. WE, you and I, have to find common ground, but the system is set up to drive us apart. It is healthy debate like this that will change things.

My phone and E-mails records even if just the number dialed is not our governments business without a warrant based on probable cause. Obamacare is costing use jobs and money... The IRS did target political enemies of the democrats.... Benghazi was a lie and to this day the POTUS will not say where he was that night.

F&F have you served. It is a terriable thing, but those guys were dead. By the time Obama would have been informed, there would not have been anything he could have done to save them.

Fast and Furious was another cover up that cost an officer his life....

We are in somewhat of agreement. IMO, we should have declared war IAW the constitution agains Al Qaida. Those folks are POW in my opinion and should be afforded those rights.

Those are facts and truths and so many more but my soapbox time is getting short. I honestly don't care what political affiliation you have wrong is still wrong and it sucks we have to have a whistle blower come out with the dirty laundry to see how far wrong our governments gotten. Ya ya in the name of safety and security. Funny 30 years ago I road a bicycle with no helmet now we have laws you have to wear one.

Since most of the Conservatives are Evangelicals, There's a lot of Community outreach done behind-the-scenes. I support many causes through my church. Although there are some decent government charities, Giving out condoms to 12-year-olds is not one of them.

If I understand the law correctly...stress correctly...the requester of the (no show my donors) exemption have to prove they provide community enhancement as a majority of thier work. Seems to me the "priority" for these groups was political speech not community improvement. If that is the case, identify your donors. That's all I'm saying.

I personnally don't believe in restricting donations, but I 100% believe in identification of those donors. Maybe, my vision is colored.

When do we as a community say, enough is enough, and do something about parents who don't care or stick their head in the sand. I don't have the answer, but who does.

Found it... 501©(4) of the tax code.... states: such groups must be operated “exclusively” for social welfare. IRS rules interpret that to mean that they can’t have politics -- campaign intervention -- as their primary purpose.

Doesn't seem to me these folks fall under this catagory.

That's a tough call Amigo, Parents can only do so much remember we were kids at one time and im willing to bet most of us did stuff way behind our parents back. The sex in schools or school age kids seems to be much higher now then when I was in school. My personal belief is when they took corporal punishment out of school and installed no child left behind it destroyed the learning environment. I see the homework of these kids and school work, I watch my wife pull hairs out because they wont do it even after calls and conferences with the parents she has even had kids tell her they are not going to do anything and she cant make them.

When I was in school kids like that were removed and sent to one of several other schools ( juvenile, continuing ed, night or expulsion and repeat the next year)but removed from the school so the others kids could learn. And teachers were allowed to teach not prep all year for a state test. I feel for teachers now and thank god for the ones I had that cared about students and busted their butts on their own time many days to stay late and help kids.
