Members WOZ Posted June 16, 2013 Author Members Posted June 16, 2013 I use a 7/8 weight spey on sections of the North Fork of the White River near Dora, Mo. do you need a rod like that around here?, maybe not, but a hell of a lot of fun to fish. you could also throw that rod on some of the big tailwaters in Mo. and Ark. to strip streamers. What are you angling for on those rivers? And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth. Then he made the earth round...... And he laughed and laughed and laughed....
Feathers and Fins Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Errr I can think of a few uses for that rod. Take the fly-line off it and use it as a mooching rod or catfish rod or even a trolling set-up for wipers and stripers or sinking line and a fly for walleye. Super sensitive tip im betting and could be used for a harness rod for walleye to see the most insignificant bounce. Nortrad Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Welcome! Moved here in '06 from central WA. Keep the 9WT, big browns on the White R. in Arkansas, you'll need it to throw sinking line and huge streamers, if you are up to it. Not from a trip I took, guys from Michigan chase them every late Winter, early Spring.
bfishn Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 ... Think outside the box always Yup. I've got a couple of 8' 8wt that I converted to spinning rods, simply love them. Use 'em primarily for slip bobbers, you can take out 15' of angle-slack between you and the bait in a blink. Good for dead-sticking baits on circle hooks too, the action lets you leave 'em in the holder till you can clear the deck, no hook set required. Or stick 'em out the side for spider rigging crappie. Or... I can't dance like I used to.
Members WOZ Posted June 16, 2013 Author Members Posted June 16, 2013 You guys convinced to to bring it along. Thanks! I was going to sell it here but now I'll be taking it. Hope to see you all soon on the water! How do add photos? And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth. Then he made the earth round...... bfishn Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Use the advanced editor under "More reply Options", There's an "Add Attachments" button below the text window. To embed pics from the web, use the "Image" button on the toolbar (below the smiley), and paste the url in the popup window. I can't dance like I used to.
Members WOZ Posted June 16, 2013 Author Members Posted June 16, 2013 Found the URL one but wanted to add pictures I have on my computer. Wanted to add/save pictures to my profile finding Manage Attachments under the general account settings but couldn't figure it out. Found the instructions in the help section but I don't see how to enable Flash Uploader or the default. Flash UploaderYou can enable the flash uploader from your settings menu. When enabled, you will be able to easily upload more than one file at a time. Default UploaderThe default uploader allows you to upload attachments one at a time. To begin, press the “choose file” button. A box will appear for you to select the file on your computer that you want to attach. Select the file you want to upload. Quillback Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 Woz.jpg Thought you guys needed to see some nice scenery and good looking I am! That brings back fond memories of my days of living in the PNW. I used to hike in to lakes in the Cascades in Washington, some amazing trout fishing at times in beautiful scenery, and more often than not you'd have the lake all to yourself.
