Jason R. Fly line, dry flies, waders, rain jackets, cameras... other stuff. Apparently it is only 20 bucks. http://flyinthesouth.com/
vonreed Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Wow that stuff looks pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Nick Williams Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 That's awesome. I didn't know it was being sold to the masses. There's a company, Aquapiel, that does the same thing.... I think they would even do your phone. However you have to send anything they do for you off to them for a few weeks. - Nick
gramps50 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Pretty amazing stuff if it actually works like in the video. How about coating a boat with it to keep the slim off of it. Not sure about putting it on clothing seems it would clog the pores and cause it to not breath.
Jason R. Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 I am wondering the same things- apparently it will be sold by Krylon and will be in the same spray paint type cans. I feel like it could be good for hiking boots, waders and maybe rain jackets as long as it lets the fabric breath. I would really like to know if you could apply it to a car or boat to keep it clean all the time- like a super wax. Seems like a dry fly treated with this stuff would float like a cork right? -Watch for it to be licensed to RIO or Orvis and sold in tiny cans for $50. http://flyinthesouth.com/
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Regular size cans of Spray Paint, sold at Home Depot. It really is neat, we have a demonstration of it in the Festus store. I don't know if it will let things breath, I do believe it seals the pores of things. Sweet idea on the slime prevention on boats. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. Nick Williams Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 Purchased some. Applied it to a Kleenex. Water literally beads off. I shoved the whole thing in a glass of water and pulled it out dry. If I could only figure out how to upload a video.. - Nick
John Andrews Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 spray it in the lake, walk in pick out your fish,,,,,,,,hmmmmmmmm this product looks great for waders. I'll let you know
Mitch f Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I guess it would be perfect for old leaky crank baits and top water lures! "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
