Creekin' SHOULD require finding your own creeks. For one thing, you absolutely don't want other people fishing them, because the more people, the more likely it is that an otherwise tolerant landowner will become intolerant. I always keep a low profile on creeks, even those that I've fished for many years without getting run off.

Creekin' is also good exercise, especially for somebody like me who loves to cover a lot of water. On some of the creeks I fish, it's a long way between productive pools. So I'm likely to cover 3-4 miles of creek in a half day of fishing, which unfortunately usually means I have to actually hike 6-8 miles by the time I get back to the car, and 6-8 miles in loose gravel, big rocks, thick weeds, and logjams, with the summer sun beating down, is just a little tiring.
