Old plug Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 I never tried spoons in that way around here. I am going to. Trouble around here nearly all the docks or filled with boats. I know some people that own a monster marina though about 3 miles away. I am going to go down there and see what happens Their slips are for house boats and cruisers. They are as large as 20 by 50. I have used unweighted plastic worms in there with limited success. Most of my fishing there has been for crappie at night under light.
dtrs5kprs Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 OP...spoons work fine right in there with the boats and floats. Flip it just like you would a jig. Hangs up less than you think, at least after you have done it a bit.
Guest Brian B. Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 First lure- to get the "active" fish knocked down.. (Out of your system) Zoom's Super Fluke, but no other color than Pearl White, I use a 1, or 2/0 Circle/Oct hook by BPS just nose hooked like a Banjo Minnow Second, and probably the most correct.. Bass Pro Shops "Stick-O" 6", choose your color, when in doubt only buy Junebug (Same hook as above- but hooked in center, no silly rings or bands.. That is all poppy-cock, no weight, let her fall, bring a magazine or popcorn... Just watch the line.

Thanks for sharing.
Members Ultralance12 Posted July 1, 2013 Members Posted July 1, 2013 I went out this morning. Around 8. Got up late. But I've seen everyone talking about drop shot so I looked it up and tried it off a dock in shell knob. I caught about 15 fish. I'm new to anything that isn't trout so I had a blast. They stopped button around 11 tho. Which dock?
