Members tse90 Posted July 13, 2013 Members Posted July 13, 2013 After reading this post I had to give it a try this morning and had some pretty good luck. Ended up with the biggest smallie weighing a bit over 4. Had to get off the water early around 930 but that bite is great. Just hang on once you feel your jig drop over a limb because they're there to eat it.
Members basscat123 Posted July 14, 2013 Members Posted July 14, 2013 On the losing jigs topic, I have to agree that you do need to retie often however there is a jig being made in Cassville, mo that has changed the way I jig fish completely. I have fished with the same head for multiple trips. The Nujig by Nutech lures will fish through just about anything you throw it into. From buck bushes to deep trees, if you get it caught in a fork of a limb, just take your time and it will nearly always shake free unlike most conventional jigs that roll over and hang....be ready you might get it taken away from you by a big fish in the mean time. It may cost a little more than homemade but, you will fish them a long time...Just my two cents worth.
