I have an online photo album of the Ozarks that seems to get quite a bit of traffic from my family and friends back home and in the other states i have lived in. One person saw some of my photos and then asked me a specific question about this region. I thought I would post the question here and see if I could get him.her some info/answers. Thank you very much....

OhioGrown>>> Since you spend a lot of time outdoors in the Ozarks I have a question for you... I have been out to Missouri 4 times now on Trout fishing/ camping trips and I have seen these strange occurrences on each trip... green glowing eyes on the ground...mostly associated with wet conditions(my last adventure in Oct. 2012 was nearly a wash out)...and then glowing rocks...I have only seen the glowing rocks once down near Montauk and the eyes I have seen from Montauk to Merramec and then at the Zoe festival site 5 years ago... Anyway, have you ever seen the green eyes or glowing rocks and what causes these phenomena?? Any ideas?? Thanks and Cheers!!

Foxfire

His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974

My first thought from the description concerning rocks was foxfire. The eyes could be several things from cats to spiders.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

…… and then at the Zoe festival site 5 years ago...

If you'd left out that tidbit I woulda been really stumped... it's just the LSD man, it'll be ok. :)

Glowing rocks at Zoe....Think its shroom related but not foxfire. There are some bioluminescent sow bugs on the upper Current...usually see them at waters edge. There about half the size of a pencil eraser.
