Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted November 30, 2006 Root Admin Posted November 30, 2006 Table Rock's level came up over a foot last night from the non-stop rain we got. PTL! Now snow and ice will start shortly. We need more!! and more!!! I think a wet, rainey winter is very healthy for our lakes and streams.
CMAC Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I bet we got 1-2" of rain, followed by an 1" inch of ice up here in central Mo. Still raining/sleeting/icing here. Is the rock low?
Dutch Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 We could use 8-10" of rain to get the lakes up to a good level and a little over pool. Come on wet winter.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Speaking of a wet winter. Man we need it. There is a small pond by my buddies house here in St. Louis and a month or so ago I noticed it was completely dry. I asked him about it and he said his dad told him it's never totally dried out like that for the 60 or 70 years he can remember. Rain baby rain. SIO3.
SKMO Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 To look at precip estimates here is a way to do it: go to http://www.crh.noaa.gov/crh/ click on the SW Mo area on the map Click on the image for the SW MO Radar (enhanced) Then in the left column click "rainfall storm total" Looks like 2-3" over most of the MO portion of the watershed and more in AR SKMO "A True Fisherman with a Rod in His hand, and a Tug on the Line, would not Trade His Position for the Throne of Any King"
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 1, 2006 Author Root Admin Posted December 1, 2006 Table Rock is 911.7- up 3 feet. Nice!
Dutch Posted December 1, 2006 Posted December 1, 2006 The cold rain and snow runoff should help you with the turn over which you want Phil. MDC says it happens at 39 degrees.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 1, 2006 Author Root Admin Posted December 1, 2006 Oh no- not 39. Surface temp has to start to drop below 48 or so, then the colder water will start to fall below the warmer water and then it will flip. It does take much.
Members hawgslayer Posted December 14, 2006 Members Posted December 14, 2006 i did notice as table rock goes up tany goes down If fishins a sport, then I'm an athlete.
