Table Rock's level came up over a foot last night from the non-stop rain we got.

PTL!

Now snow and ice will start shortly.

We need more!! and more!!!

I think a wet, rainey winter is very healthy for our lakes and streams.

I bet we got 1-2" of rain, followed by an 1" inch of ice up here in central Mo. Still raining/sleeting/icing here.

Is the rock low?

We could use 8-10" of rain to get the lakes up to a good level and a little over pool. Come on wet winter.

Speaking of a wet winter. Man we need it.

There is a small pond by my buddies house here in St. Louis and a month or so ago I noticed it was completely dry. I asked him about it and he said his dad told him it's never totally dried out like that for the 60 or 70 years he can remember.

Rain baby rain.

To look at precip estimates here is a way to do it:

go to http://www.crh.noaa.gov/crh/

click on the SW Mo area on the map

Click on the image for the SW MO Radar (enhanced)

Then in the left column click "rainfall storm total"

Looks like 2-3" over most of the MO portion of the watershed and more in AR

The cold rain and snow runoff should help you with the turn over which you want Phil. MDC says it happens at 39 degrees.

Oh no- not 39. Surface temp has to start to drop below 48 or so, then the colder water will start to fall below the warmer water and then it will flip. It does take much.
