Hard spanking will just send him to the NFL. That's another problem with NCAA "justice", the players just move on, in the case of the star players just jump to the NFL. Meanwhile the school and it's fans are stuck with the sanctions.

Exactly!

In the NFL it is the Player that has sanctions suspensions and fines. In the NCAA it is the school, students and fans who suffer and that is not right. Spank him lmao. first prove he did something wrong! Problem then is he is a superstar already and the NFL will still grab him at very worse the CFL will. I am honestly surprised more kids in other sports even bother with college knowing everyone but them profits off of them.

Next year maybe? All indications are that he would play this year and jump.

They have to do something. If they do nothing then the NCAA proves that it is only motivated by money. The kid has been acting like an idiot every since he received the trophy. Looks like he'll go the way of Ryan Leaf.

Na he wont go that way.

The thing here is his family unlike many others HAS the money to fight the NCAA and his dad is not the biggest fan of the NCAA. If they ( NCAA ) goes after JFF they may well have bitten off more than they can chew this time. Many other star players all with money are now looking for a lawsuit at the NCAA for the profiting off their likeness. NCAA might have some power but in the courts of this country case law on people likeness always has gone to the person and I do not think the NCAA wants to go to court they would lose worse than ND did last year!

It would also destroy the cash cow the schools and NCAA make off players likeness and so forth.

I'm not sure where y'all are getting him jumping? He has to be out of high school 3 years and he was a freshman last year. I don't know if he redshirted, but even then he'll sit out a year and hope the NFL will waste a draft on an unproven. I don't think so. Sure A&M will try to help him, to help themselves.

Just for kicks and giggles name a player who played one season of college, sat out a year and then made it in the NFL?

There's also the CFL.

And that lowers my pleasure in watching college ball how? I want college ball to be college ball. The NCAA may do some questionable punishments, but they don't have a lot of options, so if this kids screws over A & M, drops out and waits for the draft, he's going to lose big time in more ways then one.
