They had to evacuate the campground in Powel or Creekside if you have been there. We got a lot of rain in the last couple of days. Drought last year as well.

There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

The graph shows it crested around 15ft.

That's ridiculous, I hope everyone's okay.

Flooding is a serious threat.

Little Sugar here In BV was way up two days ago, out of the banks and a red clay color to the water. Dropped quite a bit yesterday and cleared some, but it was still up. Saw a couple in a canoe floating McKissic creek yesterday, first time I've seen a canoe on that creek, but it was high enough to float.

It's dropped almost to normal level, up from the low flow we were seeing before the rain, but not what I would call high. Water is stained somewhat also.

That means those fish have their feed bags on right now.

Topwater, swimming a jig or swimbait and flipping logs will produce the chunkers

4-5" of rain has fallen over the watershed this morning.

It could get really bad again if this keeps up

Depending on which news media you watch estimates in NWA is 4 to as high as 10'' 10 being out by Harrison by the map. My gauge in Rogers is showing 3.40ish and more rain for the next week. Someone needs to get out to Prairie Creek and get to catfishing.

I'll drive over the creek later this morning and see what's going on.

Catfish should be biting on the BV lakes where the creeks come in.

Garfield and pea ridge got the worst of it. Dad lives at posey mountain and he said 10-12". There have been some swift water rescues taking place as well

Little Sugar is now the Very Big Sugar, the golf courses along 71 are all flooded, water is surging through the fairways, damage is going to be extensive and expensive. It's as bad, if not worse, than the flooding we saw, several springs ago. Tanyard creek was almost over 340, and I was told that they closed 340 at the bridge for a spell this morning. The new golf cart bridges built over Tanyard are almost completely submerged and the maintenance Bldg. near the confluence of Tanyard and Sugar is flooded with a power pole leaning on it. Crazy stuff, let's hope that there isn't anymore heavy rain for the next few days so this water can run off.
