Wayne SW/MO Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 The forecast is for a high percentage of heavy rain for this area through Saturday night. Who knows where it will be heaviest, but if it were me I wouldn't plan on going. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Feathers and Fins Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Im agreeing with Wayne, Don't risk it high rain chances calling for 3+ tonight and more tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
ollie Posted August 9, 2013 Author Posted August 9, 2013 What?? Death wish going on? That river is flowing high, fast, and flooding. Please use some discretion. Not a good idea. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
Guest Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Does anyone know if the Elk River is Floatable? We have been planning on going out Saturday but all the rain is making me nervous. Would it be possible to float the Elk safely? Maybe next weekend, I'm watching preseason football and building deer stands this weekend.
Quillback Posted August 9, 2013 Posted August 9, 2013 Nice pics!!! When you have time, could you check the culverts under Chelsea @ Windsor? Im curious to see what that pontoon park looks like. Almost stopped by there yesterday, but didn't do it. If I go by there today, I'll check it out.
Quillback Posted August 10, 2013 Posted August 10, 2013 Little Sugar has dropped quite a bit, still up, but it's in the channel and kind of a pea soup green.

As a river fisherman, that's a premium condition for catching the big ones. Especially if its trying to rain again. I've caught some big bass swimming a jig in those conditions in the past
