Old plug Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 I have a few old humpbacks. Why would any old lure become in ineffective. Someone comes out with something suppose to be better and everyone flocks to it. Reminds me of feeding white bass during the jumps period. I have always felt you could have a few baits and if you really understand what those baits can do and all the variations of working them you better off.
Guest Brian B. Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 I really like this new Strike King 3 XD, runs 10-12 ft and is only 2" long (the body). I always wanted to get and extra 2-3 feet depth out of my wiggle wart and this one fits the bill. Those triple grip Mustad hooks are great, but the Excalibur hooks are even better, the ones that look twisted slightly.. That is just about the size crank I use for Smallies too. You do good on that darker mustard color huh?, interesting.

I think the color is called Blue Gill "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
