aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 What do some of you guys use so all your different sizes of hooks and sinkers and all the little things dont get mixed. Im about sick of always having to dig through my box and separate stuff that gets mixed. I dont always leave my stuff on 1 boat so i need a box that can get turned upside down and sideways moving from boat to boat.
Dutch Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I use the plastic boxes for all of my stuff and keep it divided into manageable amounts. I put what I need in a tackle bag for a day's trip.
RSBreth Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 For river fishing I use a 3600 box with everything separated into different compartment. For wading it's a smaller one, and for the big boat it's a 3700.
Al Agnew Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I use the Plano 3701 boxes, which are shallower than the regular 3700s. All their dividers are movable, so you can make very small compartments for small stuff and bigger compartments for bigger stuff. With the shallower depth, only about an inch, they don't have little things rattling around like a BB in a boxcar, but are still deep enough to hold regular fishing lures as well. Very small things like BB and smaller split shot and snaps sometimes get mixed up if you turn the box upside down and shake it, but most things stay put. I think if that really bothers you, though, you could get a sheet of that flexible but tough plastic foam that's about 1/8th inch thick that's used for packing stuff to ship, cut it to fit the inside of one of those boxes, and glue it to the inside of the box. That would seal up the compartments when the lid is shut.
exiledguide Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 I have found that no matter how big of a storage box I have .............I need one just a little bigger. I do agree with Al I prefer the 3701 boxes for storing hard baits.
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Depends on how much I suppose, but a 3600 or 3500 with generally get the job done. Has always worked for me. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
