German Shorthaired Pointer Needs Good Home

Hello! This is Megan Lilley Cummings, Phil Lilleys' Daughter. Me and my husband have a sweet one year old german shorthaired pointer named Betsy. We got her when she was ten weeks old to be a playmate to our lab. Sadly the lab has not taken to Betsy real well. We also probably didn't get Besty in the right season of life now that we have a new born boy! So all that to say we are sad to be even thinking about finding a new home for Betsy. She has such a sweet personality! We are not in a hurry for her to leave so we'll wait till we find the right home for her. If you are interested in buying her feel free to make an offer. If it's the right home, we don't want much. We bought her from Buck Wild Bird Dogs for $500 and she is AKC registered with a good blood line. She isn't spayed because we thought about breeding her but she is up on all her shots.

She loves birds! She is always on the look out for them. We haven't worked with her on bird hunting training, but she would be a natural. The tricky part is to teach her to listen to you when she sees a bird. One behavior we had hoped to cut out is her jumping up when she first sees you -- she gets so excited. She is house broken and loves to cuddle up on the couch with you. She spends most of the day outside in our fenced in yard and loves to play fetch and go on runs/walks anytime!

Love those GSP's, she could pass for my dogs sister, except mine has a brown tail. I've thought about getting a 2nd dog, but not right now.

He's the sweetest dog and has made me fall in love with GSP's to the point I think they'll be the only breed of dog I'll ever own. I really wish we could offer our home up to her, but a new born, one GSP already, and city home don't really add up. I hope you guys find her a perfect place. Beautiful dog!!!
