I am looking for a replacement part in Kansas City. It is the foot swtich under the pedal. It is for a motor guide trolling motor. I have found the actual switch part but can't find the rubber piece that goes over the top? Any suggestions? I have friends/ family down there if there is somewhere I could buy one from near Branson area.

Psalm 16:8

I know the Lord is always with me.

I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

Put a little dab of grease around the button and forget the rubber cap. It does a better job of holding moisture in than it does keeping it out.

I don't think that will work.... The rubber cap raises above the switch to elevate the grey trigger on the foot pedal..

Agree with fishinwrench!

rubber cap is just protection for the switch. Try the grease!

If necessary, just build up the bottom of grey trigger on the bottom with some JB Weld or magic putty to keep the trigger up above the foot pedal.

Otherwise, go to Lowe's, HD or your local Hardware store and you can buy some of those soft rubber tips that are used on the end of wire shelving and glue it over top of old the rubber cap?

Yeah I know. Just tape a shim to the bottom of trigger. If you have a compartment separator from an old tackle box they are the perfect thickness.

I was fishing on Table Rock today, talked to a guy who has had to replace this part in the past, he reads this board and asked me to post. Anyway he says that Burton's in Springfield has those caps and they are cheap as mentioned above.
