Opening Day In Alaska

My MonaChari and I got to go out and do a little duck hunting together on opening day for ducks today. We were not able to get out until 12:30 p.m. due to change over duties and could only hunt till 3 p.m. The limit is 8 ducks each up here and we managed to drop 16 ducks in the 2 1/2 hours we got to hunt. 3 cripples got away from us so we brought back 13 ducks. 4 were pintails, 3 mallards, and the rest were wigeons. Great start to the 2013 duck season. First duck I saw, I dropped on the 1st shot. That was really cool. See y'all in Oct.

way to go Ducky, we managed 1 goose yesterday, skiers and tubers were out and chasing geese before sunrise. Did see several hundred teal but they were having the same problem finding a place to sit. I wish they would have opened middle of the week <sigh>
