new member here, i have been reading all the post that has been put on here for quite some time, thought i might join in a bit. been fishing table rock for quite a few years, took a spell off and fished loz, have a buddy that lives there, but i love table rock, there is no comparison, i am no pro by any means but one thing is for sure , i will give her all i got and usually come out on the good end. i usually take summer vacations to the rock. any way fished the rock in early march and caught many on a grub and then again in april and did real well on top water rapala,the wife has ok'd a trip for our anniversary on 9- 21,22,23,24 good thing she is going, i wouldn't want to go alone, lol. will respond after the trip and want to thank everone for the advice

Thanks for making the leap from a lurker to a contributor. Welcome aboard. Since you are a rookie here to OAF you must be hazed and are not allowed to fish anywhere on Table Rock other than Aunt Creek for one full year.

never been to aunts creek, been fishing near shell knob and up to baxter for many years but the plan whe we go down is to explore some new ground, any new advice on where and what to look for would be appreciated

Welcome, 96 Champ. We have a member here (Techo) who LOVES Aunts Creek so we send as many people there as we can to help him catch em. LOL

I'm a White River arm guy, too, although I do venture down to the KC/dam area on occasion. Lots of good water in Big Cow/Little Cow, along with the main lake area down there. Just have to hunt and peck around and find what suits your style of fishing.

Weclome champ. Been coming down to the rock for many years on vacation. Ive gotten partial to the James River area. 2 to 3 years to retirement and I and my wife are hoping to be "locals".

thanks to all of you guys for the welcome, i appreciate it, nice fish dusky, been coming down since about 1990, and have spent many vacations down there, to me there is nothing like being on the lake,having it all to yourself, and just soaking in all the tranquility and peace you get, after that it is go time!!! love to fish, grandma had a rod and reel in our hand when we were old enough to hold it. love table rock, talk soon. i think i will go to aunts creek and get aquainted up there. lol
