Small fish are easy to catch but the big guys and gals are hiding out. The BBB had some good weights but everyone that I talked to had a rough go. It is amazing to me that nothing over 7 was caught. I fish the lake everyday and finding a good pattern to catch big keepers is real tough right now. You can catch a limit of keepers but the kicker fish is the tough one. The coves are full of little shad and it is like a bass buffet. Yesterday I was in a cove and it looked like you could walk to shore on the shad. I have never seen so many bait fish in my life they are everywhere.

The water temp is in the mid 70s and the lake is clear from the dam to the Gravois. Go fishing have a good time and enjoy your day!

Time to go fishing starting late today...

Mo smallies.... The fisherman on LOZ are somewhat more tight lipped. I do not mind telling people what I have been catching or generally where. But i do not git really specific. I have a large crappie bed and it draws fisherman to my dock like flies. Fortunately they are not that successful most of the time. They tend to spook the crappie or they are fishing it at the wrong time. The reason so many come by I think is I mentioned it to a friend in a locale tackle store. I think he turned it into advice to customers. The amount of pressure here I think is what keeps us a bit more quiet.

As far as wrench goes. As far as his reports you better pay attention. He is extremely dedicated to fishing. Has been a fishing bum all his life. I can call him that because I am one myself. Ive known him for about 25 yrs.
