Members grand75
I am visiting Branson and am boatless. I have shore fished Taneycomo for trout and am wondering if there are there any goods spots to shore fish TRL near Table Rock Dam north and south within reasonable drive? Thank you
Quillback
Are you fishing for bass? Is the Viney public use area (on the White river channel) further than you want to drive? Viney has quite a bit of fishable shoreline, the area around the ramp can be good, as is the point. If it was me, I'd try a Carolina rig and fish it out as far as I could cast it and drag it in on the bottom, and tip it with a Trick worm or a craw like a Zoom Ultravibe Speed craw. I'd also try a football jig and have a top water on hand just in case a top water bite breaks out.
Members grand75
If you are talking about the Viney Creek public use area at the end of Viney Road is 45 mile drive I will give that a try but prefer closer. I am on Green Mountain Drive near coopers creek am here with wife and might have to be back on moments notice. Any other suggestions? Oh, I thought I mentioned just about any warm water fish i.e. bass, panfish, crappie, walleye, perch, sunfish.
Quillback
I just fish the White river channel so that's about the only thing I can recommend.

Champ188
Why not hire a guide and load up the wife for a real taste of what Table Rock is all about? After coming from Michigan, it would be shame to miss the true flavor of the place.
Members RoundBoyYamhy
There is a lot of shoreline accessible areas around the dam, especially around State Park. The area between State Park and the Corps office is all accessible from the bank, and is good fishing as well. The face of the dam to Moonshine Beach is also accessible from the bank. Plenty of areas and plenty of fish to be caught right in the area you are looking.
Quillback
Viney entrance is now closed. So much for that idea.
